Account characteristics

Customers on the Mainland can open "Integrated Account" of ICBC (Asia) via Account Opening Witness Service provided by ICBC.

Cross Border Long Card can link up customers' CCB(Asia) and CCB accounts

Mainland clients can open Hong Kong accounts from mainland CMB branches.

 

Documents needed

Valid identity card, together with residential address proof of last three months and Hong Kong/Macao entry permit(or passport)

Time needed

Two to Three working days after the submission of duly completed application form with supporting document, the related accounts and internet banking can be activated. The banking card will be sent after seven days.

Seven working days (Clients need to go to CCB branches in order to receive the banking card and all relevant information)

Charges and fees

1.       Account (No overdraft limit)

Monthly combined average balance less than HKD 10,000 or its equivalent

Charges: HKD15 per month (free for 1st year)

 

2.       For account that has been inactive for more than 2 years and the combined balance is less than HKD5,000 or its

equivalent.

Charges: HKD200 or its equivalent per year

 

3.       Particular branches may need to charge extra CNY 100 as administration fee.

Daily combined average deposit balance less than HKD 5,000 or its equivalent

Charges: HKD50 per month

2.       For account that has been inactive within 12 months and the combined

balance is less than HKD2,000 or its

equivalent.

Remittance from RMB to HKD

Mainland clients have to go to mainland branches or use online trading system in order to remit money to ICBC(Asia) account.

Clients can remit money to Hong Kong accounts from Mainland accounts using the one card access service.

 

Note

The limit of remittance in Mainland is USD50000.

Clients have to make an appointment in advance to the specific branch for account opening.
